We receive event information no more than 7-10 days in advance of the play date or tournament.  When we get that, the information will be posted here.  This will include event location, directions, schedule and venue specific rules.  If it is not posted here, we do not have it.

Gym opens at 7:30. A brief coaches/captains meeting will take place at 7:40 A.M. to go over the ground rules for the day. It is not necessary for teams who have to travel to make it to this meeting if you are not scheduled to play at 8:00 A.M. but please be there by 8: 45 A.M. Please check with the Site Director when you do arrive for roster changes, etc.

 

USVBA Rules will apply.

 

*Warm-up Format
10 Minute warm up applies to the first 2 matches of the pool play each day and the first matches of bracket play.
A 2-4-4 format will be used for the 10 minute warm up. The first two minutes will be for ball handling, followed by 4 minutes
on the court for the serving team and then 4 minutes for the receiving team.
5 minute warm up applies to all other matches. A 1-2-2 format will be used for the 5 minute warm up.

Format– 3(4) team pools. Pool play will be 2 of 3 games rally scoring to 25 points with a 27 point cap. If needed 3rd game is to 15 no cap.

All teams will advance to one of the following playoff divisions; Gold (8), Silver (4)

Medal for 1st, 2nd place and 3rd of Gold, and 1st and 2nd of the Silver Divisions

Playoffs will begin after pool is completed. A playoff match is two out of three games to 25 pt., no cap. If a deciding game is needed it will be 15-point rally scoring, switch at 8 points and no cap.

Make sure you check with the site director before leaving tournament.

RULES:

Gym opens at 7:30. Play begins at 8:00 Coaches Meeting by concession stand at 7:40 to go over the ground rules for the day. All players playing in the second match should be there at least 1/2 hour early. Any changes to format or playoff brackets will be handed out at the coaches meeting.

Monticello Schools Directions
Monticello High School is located southeast of downtown Monticello on 5225 School Boulevard.  Entrances and parking on both sides of the building.  Use East Parking Lot for fieldhouse events.
From Big Lake:  Hwy. 25 S. to School Blvd. turn left, stay on School Blvd. for 1.3 miles to high school.
From Buffalo:  Hwy. 25 N. to School Blvd., turn right, stay on School Blvd. for 1.3 miles to high school.
From Metro Area: I-94 to Exit 194. At stoplight take left on 18, go through next stoplight and at stop sign take right on School Blvd.
From St. Cloud: I-94 to Exit 193, south on Hwy. 25 to School Blvd., turn left, stay on School Blvd. for 1.3 mile to high school.
