In order to help keep our program cost as low as possible (and considerably less than other programs in our area), we try to find easy fundraising opportunities for our players and their families. Due to MSHSL guidelines, we are not allowed to grant full scholarships.
The Rockford Area Athletic Association (RAAA) has several group fundraising opportunities throughout the year that include Billy’s Bingo and basketball tournaments. We rely on and greatly appreciate the parents and players that assist with these events and make them a success.
Rockford JO Club Volleyball also needs to seek out individual fundraisers to directly support our program:
1. Our biggest fundraiser of the year will be the Rockford Rumble Volleyball Tournament in February. EVERY PLAYER will be required to help with this tournament. PARENTS are also required to work at least 1 shift during the tournament weekend.
2. The 2015-2016 JO Volleyball program will include the Sunday Night Women’s Adult Volleyball League. We need to provide up to 9 score flippers for every night that they meet at the Rockford Community Center/Rockford High School. In exchange they will be making a generous donation to our program that will help reduce the the amount we charge this year. EVERY PLAYER will be required to score flip a minimum of 3 shifts this season. Exact number of shifts will be determined after registration is completed. Players may OPT OUT by paying an additional $30 player fee which will be used for scholarships. Sign up is completed through SignUpGenius.
3. Billy’s Bingo – you may work at Billy’s Bingo on Monday night (adults only) to reduce your player fees. You will earn $10 per night per person working and can fulfill one of your parent volunteer shifts. If you would like to sign up, please go to Billy’s Bingo Sign Ups.
