Are you ready for some football? The Rockford Youth Football Association is very excited about our third season of play. Listed below is all of the information you need to know, Go Rockets!
RAAA Youth FB Summer Camp – August 6th, 7th, 8th Rockford Middle School Fields 9:00 – 11:00am.
This camp is not in pads and will serve as a great intro for our beginning / new participants to the program as well as to refresh our boys into the teaching of our drills and fundamentals. This is also an excellent opportunity for youngsters/parents to gain an insight into our program as participation in this camp does not mean they have to participate in the tackle program. Both the camp and the program are open to students in grades 3rd through 6th. Cost is $40.00 and each camper will receive a camp t shirt. Those that will be playing tackle football will be issued their equipment for the season during this camp to take home provided they have registered appropriately. You may register for both the camp and the season at the same time.
RAAA Youth Tackle Registration
Cost to participate is $75.00 as well as a $25.00 Jersey fee. The Jerseys are the same as last season and are multi-year, which means they can be used as long as they fit as they are yours to keep. Deadline to register is August 15th. A $25.00 late fee will be assessed to all registrants beginning on August 16th. Registration can be found online at www.rockfordball.com Participation in tackle football is grades 3rd – 6th.
RAAA Youth Tackle Equipment Hand Out – August 14th & August15th
We will be issuing equipment both nights from 6:00pm – 7:30pm at the RMS shed. All registration materials, including deposit check and signed waiver are due at this date and time.
RAAA Youth Tackle Dates
Rockford Middle School Fields Tuesday/Thursdays 6:00 – 8:00pm,
Saturdays 9:00 – 11:00am. Our official season will begin August 21st and continue thru October 13th. Equipment turn in will be Monday October 15th 5:30pm – 7:00pm. The boys will also be recognized at halftime of the varsity football game on October 17th vs. Holdingford.
We have held a couple of fundraising activities this past year and are going to be asking for additional funds in any manner possible and welcome any input or donations on your behalf at this time. We also are going to need your help in coaching our youngsters; we will provide a program wide playbook to follow so no need to worry about previous coaching experience.
